We Need A Decision Here

Nope...I'm not talking about who to vote for. No...that's still a long way from now. What I'm talking about is the five (count 'em, 5) boxes of new shoes sitting in the den waiting for me to decide which of them to keep.

Yesterday, after working in the morning, I went on over to one of my favorite shoe warehouse stores near Library Headquarters to look around. Yes...I said "look around" but I couldn't help myself. I found a narrow pair of black mules and just had to take them home with me.

The mules now join the four pairs of shoes I ordered online within the past two weeks. Those include two pairs of lace-up suede shoes (brown, black) and two pairs of mules (brown, black). Can you tell I'm looking for some comfortable casual shoes in brown and black?

So now I have to get serious and try on all five pairs to decide which one (or is that ones) I'm going to keep and which ones I'm going to return. I know my philosophy is "you can never have too many shoes" but even I think five new pairs exceed any rational limit. Don't you agree?

I've managed to whittle down my shoe collection to only about 20 pairs from way over 50. And honestly I only wear a few of those on a regular basis.
Sneakers
2 pair of sandals
white flat shoes
black flat shoes
3 misc pairs

so I should go get rid of the rest...right?

course some of the shoes need to be replaced as they are old.

try on your shoes and see how they make you feel. If you Love them all, then keep them. But if there isn't instant love then you can return them. It's okay if you buy them again later. ;)

If we were talking about anyone else's feet I would say absolutely 5 pair are waaay to much, but since your feet are so narrow, I would say if they fit you and are very comfortable, you should keep at least 3 of the pair you love the most. Now all you have to do is decide which 3 to keep. See I have made it a lot easier for you.

I think three pair is quite reasonable if you can whittle it down to that. If not, well, keep the entire five and call them an early Christmas present!

You really need to find some narrow Earth shoes - they really are quite comfortable!

The question was: Does 5 pairs exceed rational limit...right? Well, excuse me but THAT WOULD BE A NO!!! Stick with your philosophy....when you're right, you're right.

I think that if they all fit you, and they are comfortable, then you should go ahead and keep all five.

I would keep all of them. You know I've heard of mules, but forgot what they are exactly.

LOL Joan,

Yes, I would say that five pairs of shoes in the last two weeks is a little extravagant. However, I can understand your predicament. They are probably all lovely.

My daughter must have 20 pairs of shoes. My grandsons raze her about it all the time. I have 3 pair - a flat pair black loafters, a pair of sneakers and a pair of good black shoes. I hate shoe shopping, as it's hard for me to find anything that fits properly.

Enjoyed your post. I'd like to invite you over to my blog to read all about the LOL Joan,

Rationality has no place when it comes to shoes....post pictures and give the peanut gallery a stab at this.
