A Cool Wind Coming?

It's Thursday at 7:30AM; I've already done 4 loads of laundry at a local laundromat; I'm drinking my first cup of coffee; it's 86 degrees inside the house right now; and I'm sitting in front of my computer trying to think of brilliant things to write about. It's just not gonna happen.

When I got home from work yesterday afternoon, there was a much welcomed message from the air conditioning company letting us know the ordered part was in and someone would be here this morning to install it. There are no words to express my excitement and trepidation at hearing the news. Maybe it's my natural pessimism at work (or maybe it's just the week of suffering in 100 degree heat) but I have this terrible feeling that installing this new fangled part will not fix the problem. I'm sure it's an irrational feeling but it's been haunting me just the same since Monday when the Boy Tech first came. Of course I'm hoping I'm just nuts and everything will turn on and run just fine once he's done doing whatever it is he needs to do but I just cannot shake this fear. Oh well...we'll know soon enough!

BREAKING NEWS: Boy Tech came; Boy Tech installed part; Boy Tech turned on air conditioner; air conditioner started pumping out cool air; air conditioner continues to pump out cool air. Wahoo!!! Hopefully this will be the last time you see the term "air conditioner" in any of my posts!

Boy, I was hoping that it would be fixed considering how bad it is. Of course, now that the Governator has gone on T.V. telling us conserve, you realize that in order to be a good Californian, you will now have to turn it off..KIDDING!!!!

I always dreaded having to call someone to come and fix anything in my house. Seems it always entailed something more complicated and more expensive than I first expected.Glad your tech got the job done. Now, you can cool off and calm down!

Woohoo, glad to hear your air conditioner is now working again!!! I know what you mean about sometimes not thinking that something will work after being repaired...too often it's happened! xox

Glad to hear it's working! We took our car in today for the third time to figure out why the air conditioner doesn't work...and they STILL can't figure it out. I'm ready to melt.

But I'm glad yours is fixed, if it was me and not fixed, I'd be at a hotel happily typing right now! ha ha

I'll be that's a relief and then some! I just want summer to end and fall to get here - enough is enough!!

Glad the Boy Tech was able to get things fixed. Btw, do you know how much heat your computer fan pumps out? That's the machine I use sparingly when it's hot.

The moose buyer: Hey...I've spent the last 7 days conserving. I'm done!!!

Empress bee: And you've got plenty! Thanks so much!

Betty: House repairs give me headaches galore...and an empty wallet.

Patches: My glass is raised as I write this.

Meno: Boy Tech was indeed cute...and old enough to be my son. Sigh...

Pea: Yep...sometimes repairs take two or three attempts before they work!!!

Sari: I cant imagine living where you do and not having working air conditioning in my car. You have my sympathies!!! Hope they finally discover and repair the problem.

Linda: Autumn seems like a million months away right now. I am so looking forward to sweater season.

Lynn: Yep...the scale definitely confirms that I'm no longer melting...damn!!!

Val: I've kept the computer off most of the time which explains why I havent spent much time commenting. Now it's on and I can get cracking on catching up with everyone...finally!!!

Glad you got the AC working. I have one AC unit in my place. And I try never to turn it on because it costs so much!

Wow, I'm happy for you! And to think... the heaters clicked on today at the store... hehehehehe.... the wind is blowing cool today.
Yesterday when I woke up, I could see my breathe... it was a little nippy outside but this weekend should warm up a little to 22 Celsius...
