Now Open Wide...

How sad is this when going to the dentist is the highlight of my day? Rick and I have back-to-back appointments this morning to have our teeth cleaned by the hygienist and then examined by our dentist. As usual, I'm sure Rick will get glowing words of praise for his impeccable teeth cleaning routine while the hygienist will once again admonish me for not flossing enough. Sigh...

It's been a quiet weekend and this week hasn't started off any more exciting. I think it's the damned heat. All I want to do is sit at home in front of the air conditioning vent and suck in the cool air. I haven't even wanted to perch myself in front of the computer and blog which explains my lack of posting and commenting. The weather forecast is for a "cooling trend" (from the low 100's all the way down to the mid-90's...whoppee) so maybe I'll feel the urge to think of something clever to write about. Until then, you're sadly stuck with this.

Our kids loved the 'Littlle Critter' books we had. Is the desert heat worse than the dentist?

It's 65 today in Maryland. Quite an improvement from the 103 degrees last week. Cooler air is coming.
You should floss everyday. It will give you a longer life expectancy.

Hope the dentist office is air conditioned. ;)

I too am bored. Just work and I haven't felt like doing anything else. Haven't even gone into the Moose since last Friday night.

If I have to blame anything, the heat is as good as anything.

It's cold and raining here today but is supposed to get hot and humid again by the end of the week - ugh! August can't seem to make up its mind so far!

Sitting and doing nothing is good sometimes - I need to practice it more often myself but I just don't seem to have the time. How pathetic is that??

It's 99.8ยบ as I write this. Way too hot!!
We don't have a/c either...
I still have all my Lil Critter books. My grandsons loved those. Going to the Dentist was one we always read on dentist day..

It was cold and rainy all day here...but I prefer it to oppressive heat.

Mercer Mayer brings back memories.

I floss every day, and my husband doesn't. He comes back from his dentist appointment telling me how his teeth are fine and the dentist is happy with him.

I just get comments about drinking red wine from mine. Might be time to change dentists.

The weatherman lies. It was hot and humid here - heat index over 100. Phew!

You'll have to move over here, it's in the 60's right now! lol I don't think I would survive the heat you guys have been having, I find 80 too hot! Hope your dentist appointment went well! xox

Dentist...grumble...Hygienist....grumble, grumble. Temperature 98 - 100. I feel you.

So what did the dentist say? Did I mention I'm looking for a new dentist?

Ralph: Desert Heat OR Dentist...oh please, don't make me choose!!!

Mom: Oh dear, the hygienist forgot to tell me about flossing for a longer life expectancy...darn her.

Rosemary: The only time someone used a water pik on me was to clean the wax out of my ears...don't ask...it was awful!

Renee: I think you've stuck gold...an A/C for the computer...what an invention!!!

The moose buyer: Heat and boredom...yep, the perfect pair.

Linda: Sometimes doing a little nothing is just what the doctor ordered!!!

Susie: Nearly 100 degrees with no air conditioning?!?!?! You have my sympathies.

Patti: Cold and rainy...I'm sooooo jealous.

Meno: See...I keep telling my husband it has nothing to do with flossing...

Betty: I like to give the weathermen the benefit of the doubt. They don't lie...they just don't know what they're doing. :~)

Pea: Can I come live with you?!?!?!

Pathces" Heat and dentist...a fitting combination.

Lynn: The dentist looked at my Xrays and cant find anything to account for my occasional slight pain in my left cheek. I'm thinking "sinuses."

You have my sympathy on the heat and the dentist. I don't know which one I dislike more. We are having cooler weather, it was 46* a couple mornings ago when I went out to feed the horses. That was a bit chilly. My barn girl said "I can see my breath it's so cold!!!" It's warmer now then that, just about perfect but probably we will get nailed in September!

I hate flossing but I still do it. At least it's air conditioned in the dentist's office, hey?
It's really nice and comfortable here temperature wise.
Gets a little too chilly at nights though... brrrrrr.... down to 5 Celsius and about 23 Celsius during the day... just perfect!
