In by 8, Out by 5

This will be short...I'm exhausted. Today I attended an all-day Library committee meeting at work (that little part-time job, remember) and now all I want to do is crawl into bed, pull the covers up over my eyes, and find myself in DreamLand. I humbly tip my hat to all those individuals who work 8-hour-days, five days a week. I salute you. Mind you, that was me once upon a time ago but I have obviously lost my stamina since retiring. Yawn!

I don't know what I'd do if I had to put in an 8 hour day again. Whew!

I know what you mean. When I would have those all day meetings it would just suck every bit of energy that I could ever think of having right out of me.

We deserve a nap.

An all-day meeting sounds horrid. I'm glad I don't have to attend those with my job.

We are easily spoiled by leisure. Enjoy it, you worked hard to get where you are.

You are very lucky to be retired and actually I am very lucky you are retired. Think of all the things you have gone through with me this past two years. I wouldn't have had you beside me if you had to work. I am one very grateful cousin.

I can't wait until I don't have to put in 8 or, better yet, 16 hour days anymore myself! Of course, that day is way too far off - way too far off!
