Chinese Freeze Tag

I’ve been tagged by Dana to come up with ten interesting habits or facts about me in a friendly game of Chinese Freeze Tag. So, ready or not, here they are!

1. I have super narrow feet (9AAAA) which makes finding shoes impossible. The scary thing is that my feet were a 7 ½ AA once upon a time ago but have gotten longer and narrower as the years have gone by. Yikes!

2. When I was younger, I had the ability to touch my nose with my tongue. Sadly, this talent has disappeared recently.

3. I won a dance school scholarship when I was in fourth grade. This entitled me to a year of free lessons AND a solo dance in the big recital at the end of the year.

4. I sleep with one foot outside of the covers even in cold weather. It seems to be a trait shared by several members of my family…my dad started this habit and my sister and nephew do it as well.

5. My choice of reading material is confined to mysteries by female authors, written in the first person, and featuring quirky female protagonists. This is pretty sad considering I spent 26 years of my life in buildings filled with fiction and non-fiction books of every genre and subject.

6. As much as I dislike reality shows, I am addicted to all things Bravo TV…Project Runway, Top Chef, Top Design, Shear Genius. I don’t sew, cook, decorate or cut hair but, for some reason, I can’t get enough of these shows.

7. I don’t know how to drive a car with a manual transmission and I have no intention of learning how.

8. I cannot seem to tread water so I never go in water above my face. I know how to float and to swim from one side of the pool to the other but I cannot stay in one place and survive.

9. I’ve taken golf lessons for more than 15 years but I still tell people I’m playing with that I’m a novice. I never keep score and the ball spends lots of time in my pocket instead of on the golf course.

10. One of the things I most want to do in my life is ride on a float in a parade. Sadly, this doesn’t seem likely to happen.

Whew…that was hard but here’s the harder part…coming up with 10 people who haven’t been tagged yet. Okay…here goes: Lynn, Renee, Pam, Patti, Ralph, Pea, Rosemary, Linda, Midlife Mom, and Empress Bee. Have fun!

A tag with 10 people? Who thought of this thing anyway???

LOL! Darly is reading over my shoulder and she wants to do the tag. I guess that would make one person to tag...huh? ;o)

I resemble that #7!

Tag with 10 people is unusual!!
I enjoyed reading your meme. I used to have super narrow feet too, but mine have grown longer and wider too!
:)

Renee: Blame it on Dana...I was just following orders! :~)

Toni: I wonder how many other closet Bravo fans there are.

Patches: I'm guilty and pleased!

Empress bee: I can't wait!

Susie: I thought 10 people seemed crazy but I just do as I'm told...most of the time. ;~)

I don't like reality shows either, but if I catch Instant Beauty Pagent on, I'm glued to the tv!

Joan, I don't watch reality TV shows, don't watch sitcoms, don't watch dramas, haven't seen a movie in ages.
This may take me a while. Is there a time limit?

Hmmm... I've got some thinking to do on this one. Ten things?? Ten people to tag?? Yikes. This should be fun...

I enjoyed reading your list!

Yikes I've been tagged to do this?? But...but...but...now I have to THINK!! lol I'll try to get it done in time to post tomorrow morning:-) I laughed when I read #4...I always have to have a foot out of the blankets too when I'm sleeping!! xox

come to think of it, 10 people will be difficult. I would have tagged you, your sister, Ralph and Empress Bee for starters.
:-(

I am with you on #4, #5 kind of...I just read fiction, #6...but Dancing with the Stars, #8...I'm called a sinker; has to do with your hemoglobin/oxygen carrying capabilities, # 10 I have a parade wave down but no parade for me yet either. Think about taking a fold up canvas duffle...the linen in Ireland is beyond lovely. You can either carry it on or check it.

Both Twelve and I responded :~) Picking ten people to tag would have been hard to do..although since Twelve did it, I would only have to come up with 9 more.

Patti said...

Lynn inspired me. Hope I did OK Joan!

Dana: I'd never heard of Instant Beauty Pageant so I looked it up. No wonder...we don't get the Style Network on our limited cable. Too bad...

Patti: Nope...no time limit so take your time. And don't worry about the tagging part...it's not mandatory.

Pam: Don't let the 10 people to tag stop you...you can always ignore that part of it if you want. I can't wait to read those interesting facts...

Pea: Are you somehow related to our Foot Out of the Covers family??? :~)

Rosemary: I didn't realize there was an actual physiological reason for sinking instead of treading water. I feel a heck of a lot better.

Lynn: I can't wait to read Twelve's 10 fascinating things...any surprises???

Patti: I think we just commented at the same time which explains why my answer to you seems late. Congratulations on completing your "assignment." I'm off to read it now!

Your feet are shrinking and you sleep with one foot outside the covers. Think these things could be connected?

Hey, Joan, this is the first time I've visited your blog (via Pam). And, guess what, you & I have the same sized SKINNY feet!

I have been doubletagged for this one - does that mean I have to come up with 20 instead of 10? I sure hope not because I am having trouble even coming up with 10!

#5 has got to be Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series! They just don't get any better than that as far as I'm concerned!

#7 I can do with ease but I prefer to drive an automatic these days - makes it easier to eat and drive!

I will get to work on my ten things but I'm afraid that they won't be anywhere near as interesting!

#7 is me too! I liked your list! riding a float in the parade would be fun! I was happy to march in it couple yrs back when we walked it playing our tambourines to praiise and worship music for our church it was awesome! I been tagged and will post mine tomorrow!

Hi, Joan -- you tagged Rosemary, who tagged Lorraine, who tagged me. And the madness continues ... but taking the journey backwards to read all of these interesting things about all of these nice people has been great fun!!
