When Hubby and I came home this afternoon, we found two envelopes from our travel agent. Inside were our airplane tickets, tour confirmation and other assorted documents for our June Ireland trip. I guess this means we’re really going!
Now the fun begins. As Hubby will tell you, my favorite part of the trip is actually the months before our departure date. I absolutely love researching all the particulars about the places and sights we will see while we’re away. I search through various books, websites, blogs, and message boards looking for sightseeing suggestions, dining recommendations, great places to shop, and all the other fun stuff that goes with traveling. So…if any of you have been to Ireland and would like to share your experiences with me, please feel free to do so. Any help you can provide will be most appreciated.

Never been to Ireland, but I've read some trashy romance novel which were "set" there...does that make me an "expert"?...or at least a good resource?
Lynn: Trashy romance? I could use some trashy romance...do I really have to wait until I get to Ireland to finally get some? Can't you find some trashy books set closer to home? Try...
How exciting! I would love to go to Ireland someday as I've got the Irish blood in me.
Have fun!
Sari: My husband has Irish blood as well. In fact, his 86 year old mom got all teary-eyed when we told her we were going to Ireland...it's a place she's always wanted to visit but sadly is not able to do so now.
Joan,
I've never been to the Emerald Isle, but I asked Kid Two what he liked best about Ireland.
He was there as a student ambassador at age 12.
He said he really liked visiting Dublin because although it was a modern city, it had a lot of Old World charm.
Patti: I'm impressed that Kid Two was a student ambassador...and at age 12! Thank him for his view of Dublin...we're spending two days there and I am definitely in search of some Old World charm.
Kid Two said "very cool" that you are going to be in Dublin.
