When Irish Eyes are Smiling

Today Hubby and I, along with two other couples, decided to go to the big travel show sponsored by the local newspaper. We've traveled as a group before (most recently Alaska) and thought we would scout out the various travel opportunities. We've been talking about our next vacation destination for some time now and had tentatively decided on an 11-day deluxe tour of Ireland. After picking up bags and bags filled with travel brochures (there goes my de-cluttering promise), we finally committed to Ireland as our choice and, after all friends and family were canvassed, only two couples (the two of us plus Mr. and Mrs. CPA) have decided to go in June. Mr. CPA will call the travel agent he has been working with tomorrow to make the final arrangements. Am I excited??? You bet. Although I've traveled to Europe before, this will be my first time in Ireland and this tour includes several nights staying in Irish castles. OK, so castles are a far cry from the little inexpensive bed & breakfasts I stayed in 24 years ago...when my entire 4 week European vacation cost me in the neighborhood of $1400. What can I say...times (and tastes) change.

Since you're going to Ireland...thought I would provide you with some Irish proverbs...
There’s nothing so bad that it couldn’t be worse...If God sends you down a stony path, may he give you strong shoes...It’s an ill wind that blows nobody good...You must take the little potato with the big potato. Now start studying...and happy traveling!
