It's My Party...
Yep...it's my birthday...just another day in another week in another year. When I was young, I'd celebrate my birthday for days. Now, I hardly notice it until someone calls me on the phone to wish me "Happy Birthday" or I get a birthday card in the mail. Our family tradition usually consists of going out for dinner on or near the actual day but this year we all have so many commitments we haven't actually picked an evening. We were going out on Sunday but then Hubby reminded me that it's Oscar night and I love sitting home and watching it (even if I haven't seen any of the films nominated for anything). I'm sure we'll find a time to get together but, until then, I'm perfectly happy pretending that I'm still a year younger.

Happy Bday! My birthdays aren't a big deal either, I prefer to forget I am getting older.

Saw your comment on Midlife Mom (Home on the Range)and stopped in to say hi. Happy Birthday to you!
:)
Comedy_king: Older...who's getting older?!?!? Thanks for stopping by.
Susie: Welcome and thanks for the birthday wishes!
my blog said it all cousin. I am old enough to remember how excited Auntie E was when you were born. Of course I didn't appreciate you until it dawned on me that you could be my friend too.
Happy 21 plus and I want to go to dinner when the family does.
Happy Birthday...I know that I already called you and tortured you with my singing...but I want to put in writing that I wish my OLDER sister a happy bday!
LOL! Happy Birthday.
I just celebrated the 11th anniversary of my 29th birthday back in January. I think I would have prefered to postpone my birthday too.
Yup! Reading trumps cleaning every time! Even DD thinks so.
Happy B-day! Keep em' coming. Birthdays are really a celebration of wisdom, but only a reminder of age.
Moosebuyer: I can't wait to wish you a Happy 31st plus in a few short months. Oh, of course you're invited...
Lynn: Older sister??? Aren't we twins?!?!?!
Renee: Happy belated 21st anniversary of your 29th birthday. Wait...now I have to do the math. ;-)
Patches: Thanks for the B-day wishes...I definitely feel older if not wiser.
Happy Birthday!
I hope you had a great day!
Happy Birthday to you. As a special favor, i will NOT sing to you. Believe me, you are grateful.
Iamthebookworm: Thanks! My birthday has actually been a great one this year so I'm happy and relieved.
Meno: Thanks for the birthday wishes. I take it you are also vocally challenged. When my hubby and I sing "Happy Birthday" to family, he always makes sure he sings loud enough to drown me out. :-)
Happy Birthday! Hope you had a great day (I'm here a bit late).
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
Natalie: Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the birthday wishes!
Hi Joan - what happened? I was the first one to wish you a happy birthday Friday morning and now my wishes are no longer there. What is going on with my computing technique?
What I wrote was "bon anniversaire" to give it a European flair. ;-)
Hope your day was happy.
Patti: Oops that was my mistake. I'd written my post the night before and saved it as a draft. When I published it on Friday, it displayed with Thursday's date so I deleted the post and then re-published it so it would have my actual birthday date. I guess I wasn't paying attention and forgot to check the Comments before deleting.
Merci. My birthday was great!
Thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear it wasn't my fault.
I'm still not sure why I cannot do a blog entry. I miss it!
Kid Two is not helping....
Sorry I'm late but Happy Birthday! :-)
